These no-bake Oreo truffles are shaped like adorable black cats and made with just 4 main ingredients. Perfect for Halloween parties, they come together in 30 minutes and are a fun, kid-friendly activity.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 standard 14.3 oz package Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 12 oz dark or semi-sweet melting chocolate
  • 2 oz white melting chocolate (for decorating)
  • 24 pairs candy eyes
  • ¼ teaspoon flaky sea salt
  • Black gel food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: Place the entire package of Oreos into a food processor. Pulse until you have fine, sand-like crumbs.
  2. Mix the filling: In a large bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs with the softened cream cheese and a pinch of flaky sea salt. Mix until fully incorporated.
  3. Form the truffles: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, portion out the mixture and roll into 1-inch balls. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for 15 minutes.
  4. Melt the chocolate: Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth.
  5. Dip the truffles: Remove truffles from freezer. Using a fork or dipping tool, lower each truffle into the melted chocolate. Tap off excess and place back on parchment.
  6. Add the cat faces: While chocolate is still wet, press two candy eyes into each truffle. Melt white chocolate and pipe two small triangles on top for ears and three tiny dots on each side for whiskers. Let set at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

Notes

For best results, chill the truffles twice: once before dipping and once after. If the chocolate starts to thicken, reheat briefly. Use oil-based food coloring to avoid seizing the chocolate.
