This cozy caramel apple sangria with cinnamon sticks is a quick 5-minute fall drink that tastes like autumn in a glass. Made with crisp white wine, apple cider, caramel sauce, and fresh fruit, it’s perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) dry white wine (Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc)
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • ½ cup caramel sauce
  • 34 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (optional)
  • 2 large Honeycrisp or Fuji apples
  • 1 Bosc pear
  • ½ cup fresh cranberries (optional)
  • 1 cup ginger beer or sparkling water (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep your fruit: Wash apples and pear, core and slice into thin rounds or half-moons (about ¼-inch thick). Rinse cranberries if using.
  2. Pour the entire bottle of white wine into a large pitcher.
  3. Add 2 cups of apple cider and stir to combine.
  4. Warm the caramel sauce slightly (microwave for 10 seconds), then pour into the wine mixture and whisk or stir vigorously until fully dissolved.
  5. Drop in 3-4 cinnamon sticks. Add maple syrup if using and stir again.
  6. Gently add apple slices, pear slices, and cranberries (if using). Push fruit down into the liquid.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight.
  8. Just before serving, pour in 1 cup of ginger beer or sparkling water and stir gently.
  9. Fill glasses about ¾ full with sangria. Use a slotted spoon to add a few apple slices and a cinnamon stick to each glass.

Notes

For best results, let the sangria chill overnight to allow flavors to meld. Warm the caramel sauce before adding to ensure even distribution. Add ginger beer right before serving to keep the fizz. The fruit-soaked apples are edible and delicious.
