A simple, no-cook charcuterie board designed for a cozy date night. It features a balanced mix of creamy and sharp cheeses, cured meats, sweet and briny elements, and crunchy crackers, all arranged on a single board for a special yet effortless snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz Brie or Camembert
  • 3 oz Aged Cheddar or Manchego
  • 4 oz Prosciutto or Salami
  • 2 tbsp Honey or Fig Jam
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Grapes or Dried Apricots
  • 1/4 cup Castelvetrano Olives or Cornichons
  • 1 cup Crackers or Crostini
  • 1/4 cup Mixed Nuts (Almonds or Walnuts) (optional)
  • Fresh Rosemary or Thyme Sprigs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cheeses (5 minutes): Remove the Brie from the refrigerator 15 minutes before assembling. Cut the aged cheddar into thin, bite-sized triangles or small cubes. Place the Brie whole on the board or cut it in half to expose the creamy center.
  2. Arrange the Meats (3 minutes): Gently separate the prosciutto slices and lay them flat in a loose, wavy pattern. Fold each slice in half and then again to create a small ribbon. Place the meat in one corner of the board.
  3. Add the Spreads and Briny Items (3 minutes): Spoon the fig jam or honey into a small ramekin and place it on the board. Add the olives to another small bowl and place it nearby. If using cornichons, pile them loosely next to the olives.
  4. Place the Sweet Fruit (2 minutes): Scatter the grapes or dried apricots in a small gap between the cheese and the meat. If using dried apricots, fan them out slightly.
  5. Fill the Gaps with Crunch (4 minutes): Arrange the crackers or crostini in a single layer or a slight fan pattern around the edges of the board. Leave a few gaps for the nuts, if using. Sprinkle the almonds or walnuts into those empty spaces.
  6. Garnish and Serve (1 minute): Tuck a few small sprigs of fresh rosemary or thyme around the board. Serve immediately with two small plates and two napkins.

Notes

Let the Brie sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving for best spreadability. Do not overcrowd the board; leave about 20% empty space. Keep wet ingredients in separate bowls to prevent crackers from getting soggy. The board is best enjoyed immediately.
