These easy cheesy turkey pinwheel lunch wraps are a quick, kid-approved lunch option featuring creamy cheese and savory turkey rolled in soft tortillas, perfect for school lunches or snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large flour tortillas (8-inch size)
  • 8 oz thinly sliced turkey breast (deli-style or leftover roasted turkey; low-sodium preferred)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • Fresh spinach leaves (optional)
  • Garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional extras: thinly sliced red bell pepper or shredded carrots

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 4 oz softened cream cheese, 1 tablespoon mayonnaise, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, and a pinch of freshly ground black pepper. Mix thoroughly until smooth and creamy (about 3 minutes).
  2. Place two 8-inch flour tortillas flat on a clean surface or cutting board.
  3. Evenly spread half of the cream cheese mixture over each tortilla, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges to prevent spilling when rolling.
  4. Layer about 4 oz thinly sliced turkey breast evenly over the cream cheese spread on each tortilla.
  5. Sprinkle 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese over the turkey layer.
  6. If using, place a handful of fresh spinach leaves and thinly sliced red bell pepper or shredded carrots evenly on top.
  7. Starting from one edge, carefully roll each tortilla into a tight log shape, making sure the filling stays inside.
  8. Wrap each rolled tortilla tightly in plastic wrap or parchment paper and place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  9. After chilling, unwrap and slice each roll into 1-inch thick rounds using a sharp knife.
  10. Arrange on a plate or pack into lunch containers.

Notes

Soften cream cheese fully for easy spreading. Don’t overfill to avoid splitting. Use a sharp serrated knife for clean slices. Chill wraps before slicing for best results. Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge up to 3 days. Optional warming for 15-20 seconds in microwave if desired.
