These easy crockpot honey garlic meatballs are made with just 4 ingredients and require minimal prep. The sweet and savory sauce creates a sticky, glossy coating that makes them perfect for busy weeknights or parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 32 ounces frozen fully cooked meatballs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Sesame seeds for topping (optional)
  • Chopped green onions or fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
  • Cooked white rice or brown rice for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup honey, 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce, and 4 cloves of minced garlic. Whisk until the honey is fully incorporated.
  2. Place the 32 ounces of frozen meatballs directly into the crockpot in an even layer.
  3. Pour the honey garlic mixture over the meatballs. Use a rubber spatula to scrape the bowl clean. Gently stir to coat each meatball.
  4. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours, or on high for 1.5 to 2 hours.
  5. Halfway through cooking, gently stir the meatballs to redistribute the sauce.
  6. After cooking, check that the sauce is thick and sticky. If still thin, cook with the lid slightly cracked for another 20-30 minutes.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

For best results, use low-sodium soy sauce to control saltiness. Fresh garlic is recommended over jarred. If using homemade meatballs, brown them first. The sauce will look watery for the first couple of hours; do not add thickeners. Let meatballs rest on warm for 10-15 minutes before serving for a stickier coating.
