These Easy Mummy-Wrapped Sausage Halloween Party Bites are flaky, juicy, and adorable with tiny mustard eyes. Perfect for Halloween parties, they come together in under 30 minutes with just four simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (Pillsbury recommended)
  • 12 cocktail sausages or mini hot dogs (e.g., Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies)
  • Yellow mustard (for the eyes)
  • Optional: Everything bagel seasoning or poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Open the crescent roll can, unroll the dough, and separate along the perforated lines to get 8 triangles. Pinch the seams together on each triangle to form a solid piece.
  3. Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut each triangle lengthwise into thin strips (about 4-5 strips per triangle, roughly 1/4 inch wide).
  4. Take one cocktail sausage and wrap a dough strip around it, leaving a small gap near the top for the eyes. Overlap the dough slightly and tuck the ends underneath the sausage. Do not wrap too tightly.
  5. Place each wrapped mummy on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down, leaving about an inch between each.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the dough is golden brown and puffed.
  7. Let the mummies rest on the baking sheet for 2 minutes to cool slightly.
  8. Dip the tip of a toothpick into yellow mustard and dab two small dots on the exposed sausage at the top of each mummy to create eyes.
  9. Serve warm. Best eaten within 30 minutes of baking.

Notes

Cold dough is easier to work with. Leave a gap at the top for the eyes. Don’t let wrapped mummies sit before baking. For best results, bake immediately after wrapping. Can be assembled up to 4 hours ahead and refrigerated.
