A simple and wholesome recipe for homemade strawberry mango fruit roll-ups using just five natural ingredients. These chewy, sweet snacks are perfect for on-the-go and free from preservatives and added sugars.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and washed
  • 1 large ripe mango, peeled and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and hull about 2 cups of fresh strawberries. Peel and cube 1 large ripe mango.
  2. Place the strawberries and mango cubes into a high-speed blender or food processor. Add 2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup if desired, 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon of chia seeds if using. Blend until completely smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add a teaspoon of water.
  3. Line a rimmed baking sheet (about 9×13 inches) with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Pour the fruit puree onto the sheet and spread evenly to about 1/8-inch thickness using a spatula. Smooth the edges for uniform drying.
  4. Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 140°F or the lowest possible temperature. If the oven doesn’t go that low, prop the door open slightly to allow moisture to escape. Dry for 4-6 hours, checking after 4 hours and then every 30 minutes until the fruit leather is dry to the touch, not sticky, and peels away easily. Alternatively, use a dehydrator set at 135°F for 4-5 hours.
  5. Carefully peel the dried fruit leather from the parchment or mat. Cut into 1-inch wide strips using scissors or a sharp knife. Roll each strip around a piece of parchment paper to prevent sticking. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

Use ripe, juicy fruit for best flavor. If using frozen mango, thaw and drain excess juice before blending. Spread puree evenly to ensure uniform drying. Keep oven door slightly ajar if oven temperature cannot be set low enough. Store roll-ups in an airtight container with parchment paper between strips to prevent sticking. Roll-ups last up to 2 weeks at room temperature, longer if refrigerated or frozen.
