This Quick Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie Bowl is a creamy, protein-packed breakfast ready in under 5 minutes. Made with frozen bananas, peanut butter, and protein powder, it’s a healthy and satisfying meal that tastes like a treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium ripe bananas, sliced and frozen
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 1 scoop vanilla or unflavored protein powder
  • 1/4 cup milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax seeds (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/4 cup granola (for topping)
  • 1/2 banana, sliced (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter, drizzled (for topping)
  • A handful of fresh berries (for topping)
  • A sprinkle of chia seeds or hemp hearts (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prep your bananas: Make sure your bananas are sliced and frozen solid. Slice them into rounds about 1/2 inch thick before freezing.
  2. Add ingredients to the blender: Start with frozen banana slices, then add peanut butter, protein powder, and milk. If using chia seeds or sweetener, add those now.
  3. Blend until smooth: Start on low speed and gradually increase to high. Use the tamper or stop to scrape down sides with a spatula. Blend until completely smooth with no chunks.
  4. Check the consistency: The mixture should be thick enough to hold its shape when spooned into a bowl. If too thick, add another tablespoon of milk. If too thin, add more frozen banana slices or ice.
  5. Spoon into a bowl: Use a spatula to scrape every bit into a bowl.
  6. Add your toppings: Arrange sliced banana, granola, fresh berries, and a drizzle of extra peanut butter on top. Sprinkle with chia seeds or hemp hearts.
  7. Serve immediately: Smoothie bowls are best eaten right away while still thick and cold.

Notes

Use frozen bananas for the best creamy texture. Start with less milk and add more if needed to avoid a thin consistency. For extra thickness, use only 2 tablespoons of milk. Let frozen bananas sit at room temperature for 5 minutes if using a weaker blender. Scrape down sides of blender 2-3 times for even blending.
