These Spooky White Chocolate Popcorn Hands are a fun, last-minute Halloween treat made with popcorn, white chocolate, and candy decorations. They are easy to make, require no baking, and are perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 cups popped popcorn (plain or lightly salted, no butter)
  • 12 ounces white chocolate melting wafers or white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening
  • Candy eyeballs
  • Candy corn
  • Red licorice strings or red gel icing (optional)
  • Dark chocolate chips, melted (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pop your popcorn according to package directions to get 8 cups. Spread it out on a baking sheet, pick out any unpopped kernels, and let it cool completely to room temperature.
  2. Place the white chocolate wafers or chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until completely smooth and melted.
  3. Pour the melted white chocolate over the cooled popcorn in a large mixing bowl. Gently fold with a rubber spatula until every kernel is evenly coated.
  4. Scoop a generous handful of the coated popcorn onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Using lightly greased hands, shape the popcorn into a hand shape with a rounded palm and five fingers. Repeat to make 6-8 hands.
  5. While the white chocolate is still wet, press candy eyeballs into the palm area and a candy corn at the tip of each finger for fingernails. Add red licorice or gel icing for veins if desired.
  6. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes, or until the white chocolate is completely firm and hard.
  7. Carefully peel the hands off the parchment paper and serve at room temperature.

Notes

Let popcorn cool completely before adding chocolate to prevent seizing. Lightly grease hands with coconut oil to prevent sticking. Work quickly when shaping and decorating as the chocolate sets fast. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
